The purposes of Ethos West Chamber Orchestra are:
- To promote an awareness of and an appreciation for chamber music of all styles and periods.
- To support the development of musical educational programs for the general public, presenting the history and styles of chamber music.
- To generate funding sufficient to implement these purposes.
Ethos West is a not-for-profit corporation governed by a Board of Directors who volunteer their services and expertise. The board has supervision, control, and direction of the affairs of the corporation. Members of the board also help generate funds to implement the purposes of the corporation and have the final say in how such funds are dispersed.
