NEED UNIQUE MUSIC FOR YOUR EVENT?
Ethos West Chamber Orchestra is known through the northern Colorado region for its excellent musicianship and imaginative selections of music. Every year in fall and spring, they present formal concerts with twenty to thirty musicians and full orchestral instrumentation.
But sometimes they're asked to play Ethos-like music in smaller and less formal settings. That's why the Portable Ethos was born.
The Portable group consists of Ethos West musicians with instuments that can be easily set up in places other than a concert hall. Generally the group includes a jazz-like rhythm section (keyboard, bass, and drums), several string players, and whatever winds might be needed for the program chosen. A group like this can provide an astonishly wide range of sophisticated musical sound.
If you're looking for unique music for your event – something a little more dignified than rock or jazz, but not as classically formal as, say, a string quartet – consider the Portable Ethos. They offer a wide repertoire to suit many occasions, and can even develop a special program based on your theme.
